The Cévennes steam train route
This railway line was inaugurated in 1909, but was discontinued in the early 1970s due to a lack of traffic.
It took the determination of a group of enthusiasts to save the line and create the “Train à vapeur des Cévennes” association .
This tourist train project was launched in 1982, and is still a great success today.
During your vacation, take a 15 km ride on this authentic steam train from Anduze to Saint Jean du Gard.
Along the way, admire the breathtaking panorama of the Cévennes countryside.
